Pastor Scott and Reverend Christine Brown heard the call of God to serve Him in ministry. In their obedience, they each closed their business and set out to Victory Bible Institute in Tulsa, Oklahoma under the auspices of Pastor Billy Joe and Sharon Daugherty, Victory Christian Center.
After Completing Bible School, they felt called to return to New Jersey to pioneer and pastor His Word Ministries. In its beginnings, services were held at hotels. Then Pastor Scott and Rev. Christine opened and transformed their home into a sanctuary for His Word Ministries. Later as the ministry grew, God provided the opportunity for them to purchase their first church building, and in January of 2002 thefirst service was held there.
Pastor Scott and Rev. Christine have dedicated their lives to serving God and all His people. They are continually excited to see God's nurturing love transform lives in their ever-growing congregation.

God has given us the vision to build a training center here in the Northeast. It would include a 2200 seat sanctuary, Bible college and School of Worship as well as of course a new Youth Building, complete with Youth sanctuary, game rooms and laser tag facility. We would also build a new “Kingdom Kafe” coffee house for all to use and enjoy. All to better equip the saints for the work of the ministry!
We believe in Water Baptism for anyone old enough to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. We baptize by immersion. We baptize in obedience to Jesus' command that all believers are to baptized. This represents the burying in a "watery grave" of our old way of living in order to arise out of the waters and walk in a new way of life. This identifies us with Christ's death and resurrection.
We celebrate Communion the second Sunday morning of each month. This is a time of remembering what Jesus did for us when He died on the cross. The juice helps us remember His shed blood, which was an acceptable sacrifice to the Father for our sins. The bread causes us to remember His body, which was beaten and bruised for us so we could be healed. Communion is open to all who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
The Baby Dedication Service is a symbolic act of parents giving their children to the Lord. Parents promise to live godly lives in order to teach their children by example what it is to be a Christian. Then our pastor holds and prays for the child and leads the congregation in commitment to helping in the training of the child to know Jesus Christ.
